Business Ethics Commitment
NAEA is organized to support the concept that
“good business” and “profitable business” are mutually compatible. The leadership team believes safety, ethics, and
environmental stewardship are vital elements of good business. Every employee is committed to delivering the
best performance possible for our owners in a strong commercial and ethical
manner.
Risk management is critical to the financial
viability of NAEA. The NAEA Board has
approved specific risk management policies that are strictly adhered to by NAEA
employees. In addition, the company operates
in a competitive environment. All
employees are instructed to comply with applicable antitrust and competition
laws.
The leadership team works to provide an
environment where employees are fairly treated, feel safe, and can work without
unnecessary distraction. We expect each other to conduct ourselves in
accordance with high standards of business conduct.
The company promotes the fair treatment,
non-discrimination and equal opportunity of workers and compliance with
national labor and employment laws. We strive to provide a work environment free
from harassment in all forms including sexual harassment and discrimination
based on race, religion, national origin, age, gender, sex, sexual orientation,
or disability.
Compliance is a part of any commitment to
ethical behavior. In our business there are three key programs, along with the
rules and laws that govern the areas where we operate, that should be
highlighted as core programs:
- Federal
Energy Regulatory Compliance Program
- North
American Energy Reliability Compliance Program
- Environmental,
Health & Safety Compliance Program
Fundamentally, every employee is empowered to
- Act
honestly, ethically, and with integrity;
- Endeavor
to ensure full, fair, timely, accurate, and understandable disclosure;
- Raise
questions and concerns regarding the Company's practices and public disclosures
when appropriate;
- Provide
information that is accurate, complete, objective, relevant, timely, and
understandable;
- Act
in good faith, responsibly, and with due care, competence, and diligence;
- Comply with the Company's policies and procedures.
At NAEA the way you accomplish your goals is
just as important as accomplishing them.
